Virginia Arnold Obituary

BINGHAMTON - Virginia C. Arnold, 75, of Binghamton, NY passed away peacefully with family by her side, into the loving arms of our Lord on Friday, January 20, 2023. Virginia is survived by her children Lenny (Martin) Grozier, Sharon Arnold (Michael Holly), and Sean (Melissa) Arnold, her grandchildren Owen and Olivia Grozier, Easton Arnold, and her sister, Estelita Latta. Virginia also leaves behind several loving members of her extended family, countless friends, and a legacy of pure love. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Karl P. Arnold of Binghamton, her parents, Manuel and Gregoria Cabras, as well as six siblings from the Philippine Islands. Whether you know Virginia as Mom, Lola, Lillasing, Aunt Virginia, or Mama-san, to know her is to know true love. Even though she was presented with more obstacles in her life than anyone should ever have to face, she never stopped loving, caring, and smiling. Her strong faith in God and her love of people were at the center of her life. Selfless love, endless gratitude and infectious laughter radiated from Virginia. Her kindness and compassion for all made everyone who knew her better people. With a smile that could light up a whole room, she welcomed everyone into her home, often with a joke, and always with a delicious homemade meal. The legend of her egg rolls lives on throughout Binghamton. Virginia truly loved her family, her faith, and the New York Yankees (though not always in that order!). With beautiful grace, Virginia demonstrated all that is good in the world. Mahal ka namin. Hindi ka namin makakalimutan. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital and Lourdes Hospice for their outstanding care. A Funeral mass will be offered 10 AM Monday February 13th at St. Paul’s Church, 282 Chenango Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery friends may call at the Church from 9 AM until the time of the Service. Arrangements are by The JF Rice Funeral Home, Inc. 150 Main Street Johnson City New York. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, https://secure2.convio.net/mskcc/site/Donation2?idb=1790270113&df_id=18352&mfc_pref=T&18352.donation=form1
