Ronald D. Hills, 70, of Johnson City, NY, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, H. James and Kathryn Hills, his Aunt June (Hills) Weiler and a cousin, Mark Weiler. He is survived by a brother, Richard Hills, his Uncle Everett Weiler, his cousins, Dawn James, David Weiler, Ann Stanley, Marilyn Riley and Peter Robinson as well as two close and very special friends, Amanda and Jason Tuttle who were like family to him and were by his side to the end. Ron’s passion in life was his involvement in the racing community. Race Report Productions has been ongoing for over 40 years, and he made friends no matter where he went. His video production has included Bethel Motor, Thunder Mountain, The Hill, Penn Can, Five Mile Point, and so many other speedways over the years. There was a special place in his heart for Watkins Glen International and he was involved in many projects there. His love and knowledge of racing, both past and present, was truly remarkable. He will be greatly missed by all as well as by his beloved dog, Homer. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at the Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Johnson City. In lieu of flowers it is Ron’s wish that you consider a donation in his memory to the Sarah Jane Memorial UMC, 308 Main Street, Johnson City, NY 13790. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetary at a later date.
