Roger W. Crocker, 75 went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2021. He was born July 28, 1946 in Johnson City, NY, the son of Roger C. and Nora (Langan) Crocker. Roger (a.k.a Jim) worked in the medical field as an EMT for Alamo Ambulance, Laboratory Technician for Lourdes Hospital, EKG technician at Ideal Hospital, and an worked at The J. F Rice Funeral Home. Roger also served as a fireman for the Endicott Fire Department for 15 years. As the primary caregiver to his parents, he provided homecare for several years. Roger was a “National Lampoon’s” Clark W. Griswold dad and frequently took his family to Walt Disney World and various other places. He was an ardent Elvis fan and won first prize singing Elvis karaoke songs. He was also a loyal law enforcement supporter who loved to hunt, fish, play the guitar, and enjoyed gardening. Roger was kind, always helped others whenever possible, and loved to make people laugh. In addition to his parents, Roger was predeceased by his brothers Robert Crocker Sr. and James Crocker. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Irene (Belles) Crocker; daughter Tonia (Crocker) Woodrow and son in law Gary Woodrow, Jr.; sons Thomas and Kenneth Crocker; six grandchildren, and several nephews. A Funeral Mass will be offered 10 AM Tuesday December 21st, at St. Athanasius Church, 406 Shady Drive, Endwell, NY. Interment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Burbank Avenue, Johnson City, NY. Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 9 am until the time of the service. Those who wish to remember Roger in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Society of Saint Pius X or St. Athanasius Church.
