Robert J. Napierala

ENDICOTT - Robert (Bob) Napierala, 90, of Endicott, NY (formerly Newark Valley) passed away on February 7, 2023. Bob was born on June 4, 1932, in Binghamton. He is a veteran of the US Airforce. Following his service in the 1950’s, Bob graduated from Broome Tech and worked for IBM in Owego and Endicott during the IBM heyday in Broome County through the 60’s,70’s,80’s and 90’s. Bob retired from IBM in 1996. Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara and two of his sons Michael (Jeanette ) and Matthew (Susan ). He is predeceased by his son Jeffrey (Susan Six) who passed suddenly in April of 2022. As well, he is predeceased by his brothers Anthony, Joseph, William, and Frederick and sister Josephine. Bob loved and cherished his 5 grandchildren, Derek, Kendra (Zachary Myers), Benjamin, Kyle and Connor. He enjoyed attending all their various activities over the years and watching each grow into wonderful young adults. Bob was known for and loved to bake Christmas cookies. His recipes are shared among family members and friends. As well Bob enjoyed going to the Tioga Downs Casino and loved rooting on the Chicago Bears on fall Sundays. Visitation and Memorial Service will be at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 148 Clinton St., Binghamton, NY. On Wednesday February 15, 2023, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM followed by a Catholic Memorial Service at 11:00 AM .
