Richard J. Billings, Jr.

Richard (Dick) Billings, 86, passed away on January 29, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Sadie Billings and one sister Geraldine Gorman. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Sharon (Prentice), his daughters; Brenda (Rusty) Tab and Tina (Ron) Atkinson. Also, his grandsons, Nicholas and Justin Bidwell and a great granddaughter, Leah Kotik. He also leaves behind a sister, Beverly (Gary) Johnson, a brother, Gary Billings, brother-in-law Robert Prentice (Linda,) several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Dick, an Army veteran, retired from the Village of Johnson City Water Dept. He also worked for Quick’s Pharmacy and Wegmans. He was a member of St. James Church and Knights of Columbus in Johnson City. He was a lifelong golfer and bowler and was very proud of his 298 ring, which he wore everyday. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A funeral Mass will be offered 10 AM Thursday February 3rd at St James Church. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Church Thursday from 9 AM until the time of the service
