Margaret E. Baumgartner , 96 of Johnson City, NY died peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, John L and Mary Sullivan, brothers, Rev. Robert Sullivan, Francis, Jack, and sister Rita, husband, R. William, son Bobby, daughters, Eileen, and Kathy, and son in law Vince D'Angelo. She is survived by daughters Gina (Dick Firsching), Theresa D'Angelo, and son Tom, grandchildren, Amy Firsching, Kate (Greg O'Hare), Cristopher Pellegrino (Kristina), Rachael (Devon Bray), great-grandchildren, Riley O'Hare, Colin O'Hare, Hunter Bray and Lucy Pellegrino.
Margaret was a woman of strong faith, a life long member of St. James church, a loving wife, mother, and friend. She was incredibly proud of her children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren, and encouraged and supported all of their accomplishments. Margaret was proud of her Irish heritage, she was known for her Irish wit, Irish"whisper", loved to tell a funny story on herself and loved a great debate. She loved Notre Dame winning football seasons, college sports, and was well read on all current events.

A mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, November 03, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 147 Main St. Johnson City, NY. The family will receive friends from 9:00 - 10:00 AM prior to the mass. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. Due to the church renovations, mass will be in the church basement, please use the main church side entrance. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Danielle House, 160 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, NY 13905.
