James J. McLean, Jr.

BINGHAMTON - James J. “Jim” McLean, Jr. passed away in the familiar surroundings of his own home on June 27, 2022 at the age of 76. A lifelong resident of Binghamton, Jim has gone to rest after a recent hard fought battle with Parkinson’s and neurological disease. He will be remembered for his loving dedication to family, loyalty to friends and loved ones, his sharp wit, and his clever sense of humor. Jim will be forever cherished by his adoring wife of 45 years, Andrea. He is also survived by sons Kevin, Kris (Bethany and CJ), Tom (Jaci), and James IV; siblings Colleen McLean, Pat McLean (Dennis Petcosky), and Sherry Normile (Paul Kane); and numerous other dear friends and family members. Jim was predeceased by his parents, James and Arlene; siblings Maureen Gandy, Terry, and Roy. Jim was a longtime member and frequent officer of the Binghamton Boating Club on Seneca Lake. He was a retired critical situations manager for IBM, an avid bowler, golfer, and hunter. Visitation for Jim will be held on July 19,2022 from 4-6PM at J. F. Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main Street, Johnson City. Expressions of sympathy, in his memory, may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or an animal rescue of your choice.
