Gail E. Knapik

BINGHAMTON - Gail E. (Roberts) Knapik, 68 of Binghamton, passed away on March 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. Gail was predeceased by her parents Elmer & Eunice Roberts and in-laws Andrew & Dorothy Knapik. She is survived by her husband Thomas, sister Carol (Paul) Cavataio, children Scott (Ashley) O’Connor, Matthew (Roberta) O’Connor, Tracey (Jason) Griffin & Cindy (Trevor) Huckle. Step daughters Christine Segrue, Jeannette (Amanda) Macarak. Special niece Melissa (Tyler) Cavataio, 17 grand children, 1 great nephew. Brother & sister’s in law James (Kim) Knapik, Mary Jeannne (Sterling) Bialas, Ellen Penepent. Several cousins, nieces & nephews. Gail was a longtime employee of Broome County in the information technology department. She loved her lake house and boating on Oneida Lake. She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church where she faithfully served. She will be missed by her fur babies Willow & Cammie. Our hearts are broken “I love you bunches of violets”, until we meet again. Memorial contribution may be made to Mercy House, 212 N McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760 A funeral Mass will be offered 10:30 AM Monday, April 3, at St James Church Johnson City, New York. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church Monday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
