Frank Acquisto Obituary

God needed Heaven’s floors re-sanded and so he called on the best man for the job.  The legendary Frank M. Acquisto of P.A. Acquisto Floor Sanding and Refinishing unexpectedly ascended straight to Heaven on Thursday morning May 13th, 2021.

There, he was reunited with his parents Peter and Isabel Acquisto, father and mother in law, John and Margaret Sekora, and brother in law Anthony Ruffo, all of whom he loved and missed dearly.

He left behind his proudest accomplishments, the love of his life Jacqueline Acquisto, their daughter Laura (Steve) Eggleston, their son Frank (Christina) Acquisto, three grandchildren that he bragged about often and loved more than words, Frank, Sekora, and Bianka Eggleston, an extended member of the family Matthew Lindenmuth, his sister Delores (Chuck) Farwell and her family, sister in law Amy (Alan) Getman and her family, many cousins, nieces, nephews, many dear friends and business associates.

Frank was a devout Catholic.  He served as an altar boy for St. Paul’s Church, graduated from Seton Catholic and never missed a mass on the weekend or any Holy Day.  The government regulations on churches last year halted Frank’s in person attendance but it was replaced by mass on television in his living room that he never missed.

Frank was a good and honest man.  An honest person will tell a story the same way every time and that’s just what he did.  He loved to tell stories of his life and use wise quotes from loved ones who’ve past, especially his father, Peter.  He would often start with “you know, it’s like my dad always said….”

Frank was also a hard worker and put his all into everything he did.  His entry into the working world began as a paperboy which came with memories that stuck with him for life.  He worked for Loblaw’s grocery store after returning home from college.  Frank graduated from Albany with an accounting degree which he put to good use even after converting to his final career, which was to work with his father, Peter, as a Floor Sander.

Most importantly, Frank used these characteristics as well as love and selflessness to be the best husband, father, and grandfather, hands down.

A Funeral Mass will be offered 11 AM Wednesday May 19, 2021 at St Patrick's Church Binghamton, New York. Burial Will be in Calvary Cemeterry.
