Eva Marusiak

Eva (Nowacky) Marusiak , 86, of Binghamton passed away January 2, 2024.  She is survived by her husband Mike, and daughter and son-in-law-Chrisanne and Eric Solecky, and her grandson Alex Solecky. Eva was predeceased by her parents Julia and Victor Nowacky- her siblings- John, Vicky, Joe, Louise and June. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly- they all touched her world with love. Eva was a member of the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church.  She especially enjoyed Monday evening craft club. Her faith, family, and friends were the source of her contentment. May God’s light shine upon her through Jesus Christ our Lord. The family will receive friends at the J. F. Rice Funeral Home 150 Main Street Johnson City on Sunday from 4-6 pm where a prayer service (Parastas) will be recited at 5:30pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday 9:30 am at the funeral home and at 10am at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, 230 Ukrainian Hill Road, Johnson City, where a Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Very Rev. Archpriest Teodor B. Czabala, Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund.
