Christine Craver

BINGHAMTON - Christine (Kolly) Craver of Binghamton, NY passed away on Sunday May 7, 2023 from complications battling an unexpected illness. Pre deceased by Her Father William Kolly, Mother Corinne (Single) Kolly, Sister Judith A. Kolly. Her beloved husband of 41 years Andrew F. Craver who passed March of 2022. She is survived by Her Daughter Jennifer Craver (Henry Lurcock), Sister Sharon (Kolly) Egan (Bob), Brother Bill Kolly, Daughters Jackie Whitenack (Lance), Julie Simonds ( Dave), Grandchildren Georgeanna, CJ, Makayla and Great granddaughter Makenna, Goddaughter Kelli Carr and Aunt Patricia DeJohn, special friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Chrissy graduated Johnson City High school and then achieved a degree from Broome Community College. She retired from NYSEG with over 35 years of service. An avid NY Yankees fan she would watch all the games. She loved traveling with her husband, family and cruising friends. She was in charge of making Christmas cookies every holiday for the family as well as the city chicken. She loved attending family reunions yearly or any special events. She loved her animals and and her and her husband cherished having a cat to keep them company. Andy and Chrissy were known to enjoy their time at Cayuga lake in the summer, boating and wine tasting with lake friends and hosting family. She was a devoted attendant of St. James Parish. She relied upon her faith to get her through many challenges in her life. She will be remembered by the many lives she touched. Her calling hours will be held at The J. F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc. 150 Main Street Johnson City on Wednesday May 10 from 4:00-6:00 A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church at 1:30 pm Thursday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Monday at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers please donate to SPEAK or St. James Food Pantry.
