Carol A. Zurenda

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol A. Zurenda, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Carol was born in Whitney Point, NY daughter of John and Grace Wychick. Carol was 80 years young. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter S. Zurenda, her daughter, Theresa G. Spoor and her parents, John and Grace Wychick.  She is survived by her sons; Mark and Jason Zurenda, her daughter and son-in-law; Kari and Thomas (Tommy Tom-Tom) Wingert Jr; Grandchildren Joshua, Vanessa (Seth), Ryan, Dylan, Derek and Grace; and her two sisters; Darlene Sneddon and Nadine Colgan. She was a member of St James Church, Johnson City where she shared her gifts of candy making and Crafts. She was a master of creative crocheting and a breathtaking embroidery specialist. With her passion of crocheting and the caring for others, she would carry in her car, the scarfs and afghans she created, and would give them to anyone who she felt needed one. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10:30am at St. James Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  In Lieu of Flowers; expressions of sympathy in her memory, may be made to St James Food Pantry.
