Thomas J. Matias

Thomas J. Matias, 68, of Johnson City passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018.  He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rosemary; mother of his daughter, Donna Greene Matias; siblings, Patrick, Michael, Jerome, Colleen and Sean; and brother-in-law, William Clifford.  He is survived by his loving family; daughter, Casey; fiancée, Pamela Estelle; step son, Jeff Bozon; siblings, Maureen Clifford, Mary (Larry) Matruski, Kevin Matias, Sheila (Gordy) Rigo, Joseph (Darlene) Matias, Neil (Cathy) Matias; sister-in-law, Kathy Matias Carmen; family friends, Joyce Fiske and  Irene Sweeney; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Thomas served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.  He was a member of the Johnson City and Binghamton Eagles and the VFW Post 1305.  A Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 9:30AM at St. James Church, 131 Main Street, Johnson City with burial in Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’ memory can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.jfricefuneralhome.com.
