Roy Fassett

Roy Fassett, 93 years.

Roy went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2018, surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his parents and 10 siblings.  He has one surviving sister, Lillian Hinkley, Pine Bush, NY.  Roy is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lillian (Willow Point Nursing Home).  He is also survived by his 3 daughters and sons-in-law; Darlene (David) Oleniancz, Port Crane, Barbara (Daniel) Hunsicker, Port Crane, Faith Hinkey (Fran Hinkey, deceased), Johnson City.  He is survived by 8 grandchildren, Teresa (Paul) Davis, Brisben, David (Bobbilynn) Oleniacz, Jr., Farmington, Utah, Michele (Kevin) Grannis, Port Crane, Paul Hunsicker, Port Crane, Rachel (Kris) Osborn, Newark Valley, Jennifer Hunsicker, Port Crane, Charity Mosher (Lamont Dozier), Port Dickinson, Stephen (Christy) Dillenbeck, McDonough.  Roy was blessed with 13 great grandchildren, Booker and Brandon Davis, Meghan and Kenneth Grannis, Renee and Rebecca Hunsicker, Kourtney and Isaac Doupe, Emily Squires, Tyler and Nathan Mosher, Caleb Dozier, Brook Dillenbeck.  Roy loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren, going to Peck Lake every summer and having BBQ’s with the family.  He was a very hard worker all of his life and put his whole heart in the many jobs he had over the years.  He always said, “If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing it right!”  A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at the Port Crane Town Hall, 44 Park St., March 3, 2018 12:00 noon- 3:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in his name.
