Rose G. Connelly

Rose (Gigliotti) Connelly 87, passed away peacefully Sunday morning after a short illness on September 9, 2018 at Mercy House surrounded by her loving family.  She was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Freida Gigliotti, her loving husband of 51 years John (Jack) Connelly Sr, and her brother John Gigliotti.  Rose is survived by her loving children John Connelly Jr, Debra (Nick) Coddington, Patricia (Billy) Giblin, her devoted and loving daughter Sharon Rose Connelly who was her care giver for the last 15 years and Joseph (Karen) Connelly; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Holmberg, John (Amy) Connelly, Angela (Garrett) Price, Jessica Connelly, Nicholas Coddington, Katrina Macinski, Laura Macinski, Zachary, Alexandria and Anthony Connelly; step grandchildren, Clark (Jaime) Giblin and Lauren (Jason) Platner ; great grandchildren, Christian, Jonathan, Brooke, Brayden, Lauren and Elizabeth.  She is also survived by her sister Mary Crisanti, sister-in-law Inez Gigliotti and a special niece Rosemary Collins.  Rose retired from Endicott-Johnson after 20 years of service.  Rose loved cooking for her family on Sundays and every holiday.  She was known for making her famous Hot Pies for the neighborhood kids every Friday night.  Rose was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church.  The family will receive friends at JF Rice Funeral Home 150 Main St. Johnson City NY Thursday September 13, 2018 from 4-7pm.  Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City September 14 with a funeral mass at 9:30am at St James Church.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the Mercy House or St. James Church.
