Ronald W. Jones

Ronald Jones, 71, of Johnson City, NY passed away January 5, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Grace Jones of Baldwinsville, NY. He is survived by his wife of 43 years MaryAnn, a daughter Stephanie (Matt) (Columbus, OH), and a brother Thomas Jones (Noel Hill) (South Onondaga, NY).  Ron graduated, in 1965, from C.W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, NY and attended Syracuse University until enlisting in the Army where he served tours in Vietnam and Germany.  After returning home he accepted a job in Binghamton and worked for several companies before starting a small vending company that serviced many small businesses throughout the Triple Cities for almost 30 years.  He enjoyed spending his spare time at his camp in the woods with the peace and quiet and wildlife. He always helped his neighbors and friends whether he was asked or not.  Ron was a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the National Rifle Association.
