Paul E. Platzer of Johnson City passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017. Paul was predeceased by his parents Anna and Edward Platzer, an infant brother, his brother-in-law James Reilly and his son-in-law William Bunker. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara, daughter Joanne Bunker and grandson William Bunker, cousins and friends and furry friend Maddie. Paul was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean War. He retired from IBM and enjoyed many years at his cottage at Beaver Lake. Paul liked to fish and was an avid hunter, he liked to putter around the house and cottage and it was a rare thing he couldn’t fix. Paul was a devoted husband, father and grandfather; he will be so dearly missed. May he rest in peace. It was Paul’s wishes that there will be no formal funeral or calling hours. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
