Marian Rose Titus

Our beloved mother, Marian Rose Titus, a.ka. Magnolia Blossom, Grandma Mag, Aunt Marian, Goodie Two Shoes, sadly left this life after a period of failing health on November 15, 2018.  Marian, adopted as an infant, grew up as an only child.  Her wish for a large and vivacious family was realized as her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews surrounded her with fun, love and admiration.  Holidays, vacations, shopping excursions, going out to breakfast, singing around the campfire with family and friends were things that made her happiest.  Marian’s second family was at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where she worked for 52 years, retiring at age 82.  Although not Roman Catholic by faith, Marian grew very close to many of the Daughters of Charity throughout the years.  Her exemplary work ethic led all of her children, as well as her husband and son in law to also join the Lourdes workforce in some capacity at one time or another.  She was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Sisco, her husband, Arthur M. Titus, son in law Bradley (Vern) Stimak, sisters in law and brother in law, Jean and Web Maxson, Dawn Kosalek and numerous beloved family and friends.  She is survived by her children, Pamela Stimak (Stuart Spaulding), Brian and Kathy Titus, who provided loving 24 hour care, allowing Marian to remain in her home as she wished during her last days, Dorothy and Marty Curtis, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brother in law Francis Kosalek, special best friend Dorothy Kolb, many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.  Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 2pm with Rev. David Seaver officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the time of service.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Riverhurst Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Marian’s memory can be made to Lourdes Hospital Foundation (Hospice), 169 Riverside Drive, Suite 103, Binghamton NY 13905.  The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her and visited during her last days including the many special caregivers with Lourdes Hospice and Reverend David Seaver.
