Margaret L. (Kenderes) Horinek

_{The Angels have called Margaret L. Horinek, 91, of Johnson City home on Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Kenderes; Her beloved spouse of 59 years, Albert Horinek and daughter, Linda Waite. She is survived by her loving children and spouses, Carol and Mark McDonough, Janet and Aaron Krcha, Patricia and Stanley Cwynar, Joseph and Sharon Horinek, and John and Jean Horinek; son-in-law, Dr. Lawrence Waite; twelve grandchildren;11 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.}

_{Margaret loved family gatherings, her children and grandchildren. She was proud of her family and treasured the times she had with them.}

_{She will be remembered for her love of family, devotion to the church, stylish fashion sense and her great pleasure in shopping excursions. Mom’s greatest attribute was the love and service that she exhibited to her children and grandchildren. She was a role model to them in her own special way. Margaret was proud to be recognized by Hilltop Campus for her smile and willingness to assist new arrivals. She will be missed by all who knew her.  Margaret was a devote catholic and a member of St. James Church, Johnson City.  Her prized possession was a rosary blessed by Pope Francis and presented to her by her grandchildren.}

_{A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 9:30a.m. at St. James Church, 131 Main St., Johnson City with burial in Slovak Catholic Cemetery, Binghamton.
