Joyce M. (Striley) Willis

Joyce Willis, 86, formerly of Johnson City, was reunited in heaven with her husband of 51 years, Gerald “Jerry” Willis on Monday, February 11, 2019.  Joyce was born and resided in Johnson City until moving to Camillus, NY in 2001 and then to Binghamton in 2014.  She was a faithful servant of the Lord at Westover United Methodist Church in Johnson City and Christ Community Church in Camillus.  Joyce was one of the daughters of the late Harry and Doris Striley.  She was predeceased by her brother, Bob Striley and her brother-in-law, Ronald (Dutch) Berdine.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Brenda Willis of Camillus, NY; daughter, Kathy Phelan of Binghamton; grandchildren, Pamela and Seth Willis of Marcellus, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Dick Williams of Johnson City; sister, Shirley Berdine of Johnson City; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Pat Striley of Binghamton, her friend and sister-in-law, Donna Willis and her very special nieces Dawn Brunza and Darlene Voltz and their families as well as other nieces, nephews and extended family.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at both St Louise Manor and Elizabeth Church Manor for all their care and compassion during Joyce’s final years.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019, 11am J.F. Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main St., Johnson City, NY.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9am until the time of service.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to your favorite charity.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.jfricefuneralhome.com.
