Emil Misata Obituary

Emil F. Misata, 78, passed away peacefully July 8, 2018, after a short illness. He is predeceased by his parents, Emil S. and Anne Misata  and a sister, Marie Marino. Emil is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Sandy; his daughter and son-in-law Jaclyn and Donald Tripp; cherished granddaughter Lauren; brothers William (Joan) Misata and Robert (Peggi) Misata; brother-in-law Rick Howland; several nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends.  Emil was a prominent insurance agent in Johnson City for the past 50+ years with Misata Insurance Agency and Thomson Agency. Emil enjoyed sporting clays, skeet shooting and hunting adventures in Alaska, Africa and Argentina. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.  His family would like to thank the staff at Wilson Hospital, especially those in the emergency room, ICU and South Tower 5 for their care and compassion during his time there.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 12th from 3pm to 7pm at J.F. Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main St., Johnson City, NY 13790. A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 13th at The Church of The Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton, NY at 10am.  In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in his memory to an organization of your choice.
