Nancy M. (Ortloff) Smith

Nancy M. Smith, 61, of Binghamton passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 after a long illness with COPD.  She was predeceased by her parents, Glen and Barbara Ortloff; brothers, Eugene Ortloff and Michael Condon and sister, Isabel Ortloff.  She is survived by her loving family; two brothers Glen (Peggy) Ortloff and George (Helene) Ortloff; five children, Barbara M. Smith, Frederick E. Smith, George R. (Lisa A.) Smith & John H. Newman; 15 Grandchildren  Michael J. Smith, Michelle R. Kiefer, Melinda S. Fausel, Joshua J. Cardin, Andrew S. (Shade) Button, Josh M. Dygert, Ashley M. (Dan) Couillard, Christopher P. Smith, Tiffany L. Smith, Mariea C. Newman, Anabelle L. Newman and Judilyn L. Newman; 9 Great Grandchildren Ivan C. Hanchock, Konner M. Shearin, Karolyn G. Fausel, Jensen Dean M. Fausel, Katherine O. Cardin, Skylar C. Denman-Button, Anndalynn R. Dygert, Daniella D. Couillard, Mariah Izzy Hope Smith;  two nephews, Matthew and Andrew Ortloff, as well as her extended family of friends at North Shore Towers where she was Floor Leader.  Nancy was a caregiver always putting others before herself. 

A memorial will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11 AM at Conklin Ave First Baptist Church with Rev. Chastain officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory can be made to the church.  Online condolences can be left for the family
